Program Information: The History Department provides high-quality education to its students, ensuring they possess the highest level of knowledge required in their professional field, respectful of national and spiritual values, universal human rights principles, foreign cultures, and scientific ethics. The aim of the History Department is to equip future history experts with modern research techniques and ensure the application of these techniques, laying the groundwork for studies prepared with contemporary methods. Additionally, it aims to cultivate students who can think scientifically and multidimensionally, create encouraging elements for scientific research and quality education, and provide students with the basic concepts of the science of history, thereby imparting knowledge and ways to access information.

There is a possibility of free lunch assistance for students who do not have sufficient financial means. The number of students who can benefit from this opportunity is determined by the University Administrative Board upon the proposal of the SKS Department. Our students can also benefit from the opportunity to work part-time in various units within the university outside of their education and training hours if they wish.
Dormitory and Accommodation Facilities: In our university's İstiklal campuses, there are dormitories with a total capacity of 5,064 beds, including 2,288 for males and 2,776 for females, affiliated with the General Directorate of Credit and Dormitories of the Ministry of Youth and Sports. Additionally, there are dormitories belonging to the General Directorate of Credit and Dormitories in the city center. Moreover, private student apartments and hostels in Burdur city center also provide accommodation services.
